One of the our high school senior’s favorite locations for senior pictures is on the campus of their future college for lots of reasons – excitement about the future, exploring the campus, and seeing all the students! If you have grown up in a college town, then the decision might not be that easy if you are going away to another college. Growing up in Eugene, one of our seniors, Katie, decided to have photo sessions at both colleges!
Both the University of Oregon and the Oregon State campuses have fabulous architecture. The U of O has everything from historical buildings to amazing modern buildings. Johnson Hall, built in 1915, has a wide cement staircase leading to the beautiful brick building with it’s six massive columns. Then there is the new John E. Jaqua Academic Center which is a giant building made out of mirrored glass with surrounded by shiny black steps. With all the trees, flowers, brick building, walls of windows, and interesting architecture, if you want variety in your senior pictures all in one place, the U of O has it all.
Oregon State campus has a historic feel to it. In the summer, there are giant hydrangea plants next to wood column buildings, tall grasses and trees with the sun shining in the background. There are cement baluster railings, balconies, brick steps everywhere. One of the most detailed buildings is Weatherford Hall. It has a big arched walkway with huge old lit chandeliers.
Here is a glimpse of Katie’s pictures at the University of Oregon.
Fall and Spring are wonderful times to get a busy campus vibe to your images. Summer, when most of the students are away, can be like having the the whole campus to ourselves!
We KLS Photography gals would LOVE to be your senior photographer! You can find out more of the details about our senior sessions on the “Details” page of our website by clicking here.

Classic, beautiful and sweet is how we would describe Emily. Emily is one of the sweetest young ladies we have met. We loved getting to know her during the time we spent with her. After graduating from high school, she is going to college to become a nurse. We just know she is going to be the absolute best and most caring nurse!
Emily chose to divide her senior session into two locations over two days....
